INSTRUMENTS

Q:  CAN I PARTICIPATE WITH MORE THAN ONE INSTRUMENT?

A:  No/Yes.  You can bring as many instruments to the academy as you would like.  However, you must choose ONE instrument for participation.  You can only use the instrument you choose, at the time of application, in all formal activities.  If you would like to get a lesson on a secondary instrument with one of our faculty members - it would be charged as an additional lesson and on a space/time available basis.  It is highly suggested that you focus on one instrument for the duration of the academy.

Q:  I HAVE TWO TUBAS, A HIGH AND A LOW HORN, WHICH ONE SHOULD I BRING?

A:  Both, if possible.  If only one - your low horn.  Daily Routine will focus on fundamentals of low tuba playing.  Some participants will prefer to perform their solo piece on a high pitched instrument, this choice is up to you.
